Please follow this pre-match schedule for all CVVOA Volleyball matches
(UNLESS the host management directs the R1 to do otherwise)
For the first
match of the day:
Ø When
you arrive on the floor 30 minutes before match time, put 20 minutes on
the clock, but do NOT start the clock.
Ø Conduct
the Coaches/Captains conference 25 minutes prior to the scheduled starting
time.
Ø
At the completion of conference, start the
clock immediately. This should be about 22-23 minutes before the scheduled
starting time.
Ø
First 8 minutes - Both teams warm up
on their half of the court.
Ø
At the 12:00 minute mark – R2 Blows
whistle for the team serving first to use the full court for six (6)
minutes. The other team may use area
outside the court.
Ø
At the 6:00 minute mark - R2 Blows
whistle for the team receiving first to use the full court for six (6)
minutes. The other team may use area
outside the court.
Ø
The horn should sound when the clock reaches
0:00 and both teams should be directed to their respective benches.
Ø
After announcements, introductions, and the
National Anthem (optional), start the match ON TIME.
For the second
and all subsequent matches of the day:
Ø
At the conclusion of the previous match, put
20:00 minutes on the clock, but do NOT start the clock.
Ø
Conduct the Coaches/Captains conference
immediately (or as soon as possible).
Ø
At the completion of conference, start the
clock immediately.
Ø
First 8 minutes - - Both teams warm up
on their half of the court.
Ø
At the 12:00 minute mark - R2 Blows
whistle for the team serving first to use the full court for six (6)
minutes. The other team may use area
outside the court.
Ø
At the 6:00 minute mark - R2 Blows
whistle for the team receiving first to use the full court for six (6)
minutes. The other team may use area
outside the court.
